First tattoo and there’s a significance that sears both emotional pain and empowerment. It wasn’t just for me. It was to feel that sensation of pain for every unfortunate victim of sexual assault out there.

It was such a surreal experience because the artist was asking what and why I was getting it. Internally it was so fucking emotional. But externally everything was happening so smoothly.

Every sting was attributed to everything any victim or survivor experienced.

The best part was just being present. Being able to feel. Here’s to me sharing how I no longer want to avoid the experience of existence and feeling.

I’m a victim, survivor and a human being.

I don’t want a lukewarm love. I want it to burn my lips and engulf my soul.
